AIM High Student Is Named Gates Millennium Scholar
AIM High student, Tyler Greer has been named a Gates Millenium Scholar! The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program, funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was established in 1999 on the idea that the future of our economy and quality of life depend upon the preparation of a diverse cadre of leaders who can help build a stronger society. The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program selects 1,000 talented students nationwide each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. Past Recipients of this award have gone on to the nation’s best universities and pursue diverse careers in business, science, and the arts. Launched 7 years ago, AIM High has been helping kids get into and through college for the past 4 years, and Tyler is our 3rdGates Millennium Scholar. We are both proud of and inspired by Tyler. The thing about aiming high is that the bar does keep moving up!
